Realizing Visions – Creating a feasible path to realize the utopian dream

Architecture invites to dream big and visionary! Regardless whether one is the creator or the patron, the built environment lends itself as a projection for greatness and eternity. Architectural concepts serve as seismograph for the social environment, a visualization of the Zeitgeist. Thoughts and ideas, however, do not need to carry the burden of economical considerations. These restrictions come in place when the vision is to be transformed in brick and mortar. How can one create a feasible path to realize the utopian dream?

The presentation will showcase four projects – all of them visionary in their own rights. One project is completed, three (or less, depending on time) are still in concept stage. Each design is being explained from a creative angle first to explain the visionary-architectural value about it. Thereafter, the angle is changed to explore non-creative measurements – may they be collaborations, technology or contractual setups – that were or are taken to pave a feasible path to realize the utopian dream.
